About the Vaccination

Having a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine is one way we can protect our community against coronavirus. COVID-19 vaccines help to prevent serious illness and death from COVID-19, and they are free for everyone in Australia.


Our practice is an approved vaccination provider for COVID-19 vaccines. We are happy to help provide COVID-19 immunisations for our local area and wider community.


Covid-19 Vaccines available at our clinic include:

  • Pfizer vaccine
  • Moderna vaccine
  • Novavax vaccine
  • AstraZeneca vaccine


COVID Eligibility

Vaccine rollout COVID-19 vaccines are being rolled out to people in phases, with those most at risk receiving their vaccinations first.

To find out if you are eligible to receive the vaccine now, 

  • visit https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility and 
  • complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Checker. 


You can then call (telephone) to register your interest to receive the vaccine.


Booking your appointment

COVID-19 vaccinations are voluntary and free. 

You can book online. Make sure you book an appointment for your first and second doses and complete your COVID-19 declaration forms prior to your appointment.

  • You will get an SMS to confirm your appointment dates.
  • Please reply Yes to secure your appointment. 


The current government guidelines are that AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccinations are recommended to be 6 weeks apart and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations are recommended to be 3 weeks apart.


Preparing for your vaccination

Before your vaccination appointment, you should make sure your details are up to date with Medicare.


If you don’t have your account set up, you can:

  • enrol in Medicare, if you’re not already enrolled
  • set up your Medicare online account if you’re enrolled in Medicare, but don’t have Medicare linked to myGov.
  • get an Individual Health Identifier (IHI), if you’re not eligible for Medicare.


Your Safety

Your safety is always our number one priority and since the beginning of the pandemic we have implement several important changes to improve our patients safety. These changes are listed below:


For Patients Safety

All patients are

  • Screened by phone the day before attending
  • Asked to come by themselves, unless they need a support person (eg if elderly or from a non-English-speaking background)
  • No permitted any extra visitors are asked not to stay in the waiting room
  • Required to complete forms online, so they don’t need to use paper or pens on-site
  • Asked to scan or take pictures of their referral/ reports/ paperwork and send to the office by email
  • Asked to make payments online to avoid using EFTPOS terminals


Our Staff

Staff perform the following tasks

  • Deep cleaning - whole consulting room cleaned several times a day
  • Temperature checks for every single person that enters the building

Staff are also required to:

  • Wear custom surgical scrubs
  • Use keyboards and mice that are cleaned between every patient
  • Use perspex covers have been made for tissue boxes


Attending our Rooms

  • All visitors are required to use face masks during their visits
  • All visitors are asked to use hand sanitiser at the reception desk
  • We advise all patients in the waiting room to maintain social distancing, and chairs have been reduced and spaced out
  • Custom built perspex screen for reception desk has been installed with a custom wrap-around Perspex screen to protect patients and staff
  • We have removed magazines from the waiting room
